CRPF Head Constable Recruitment 2020: 1412 posts for serving constables, apply offline till March 5

NEW DELHI: Directorate General, CRPF, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India has invited applications from serving male/female Constables (General Duty/Bugler/Mali/Painter) of the force for Group C post of Head Constable (General Duty) in the Central Reserve Police Force through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2019. The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent in accordance with the guidelines of the government.

The last date to apply offline is March 5, 2020 and the written examination will be conducted on April 19, 2020.

Eligibility Conditions

Service Eligibility: Candidates should have completed four years of service including basic Training on the last date of application. However constable having more than 04 years of service shall be considered for weight-age of marks as under

Up to 4 yearsNo marks
4-5 years04 marks
5-6 years8 marks
6-7 years12 marks
7-8 years20 marks

Marks awarded on the basis of number of years of service completed as contable will be taken into account for aggregate marks only while drawing merit list for selection.

Upper Age:
The upper age limit for appearing in the LDCE will be 32 years. The cutoff date for determining age of candidates for accepting applications will be August 1, 2019.

Educational Qualification: 10+2 pass from a board or university recognized by the Central or State Govt.

Selection Process

Selection process consists of following stages:

Stage I: Written examination

At the very beginning written examination will be conducted. The written test will consist of only OMR based objective type multiple choice questions. The bilingual question paper should be of 160 marks comprising of 160 questions consisting of one mark for each question with 3 hours duration. The question paper will be of 10+2 pass standard.

General intelligence, awareness, reasoning numerical ability 60 marks
Professional Knowledge 70 marks
Language comprehension and Communication skill 30 Marks
Total 160 marks


Stage II: Physical measurement
Stage III: Physical Efficiency Test
Stage IV: Checking of Testimonial

Stage V: Medical Examination

Stage VI: Drawal of Merit list

Training: The selected candidates will have to undergo separate LDCE course and will be put on probation for two years.
