Andhra Pradesh: Officials gear up for Sri Lankan Premier's visit to Tirumala

TIRUPATI: Officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in coordination with the district administration and the Tirupati urban police wing have made elaborate security arrangements for the 2-day visit of the Sri Lankan premier to the temple city of Tirupati on Monday and Tuesday.
TTD sources said Sri Lankan prime minister Mahinda Rajapaksa along with ministers A Thondaman and KN Devanand will arrive at the Tirupati airport near Renigunta at 7.20 pm on Monday.
The Srilankan premier along with the ministers will reach Sri Padmavathi guest house at Tirumala and halt for the night on the hill town.
In the early hours on Tuesday, the Srilankan entourage led by Prime minister Mahinda Rajapaksa will offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara during the Suprabatham seva.
Winding up their 2-day visit to the temple town, the Srilankan Premier will depart back to the island nation from the Tirupati airport at 11 am on Tuesday.
Chittoor district administration led by collector Dr Narayana Bharat Gupta in coordination with Tirupati urban police wing and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams have made elaborate security arrangements for the 2-day visit of the Srilankan premier to the temple city of Tirupati.
