19-year-old kidnaps, molests minor

RAJKOT: A man was arrested on Friday for alleged abduction and molestation of a minor Dalit girl in Rajkot. Police said the accused, identified as Rahid Theba (19), had allegedly abducted the survivor in his autorickshaw and dropped her at Nyaragam locality of Rajkot after molesting her on Friday.
“We have booked Theba on the complaint of the girl’s father under section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Atrocity Act,” said R S Thakar, inspector with Gandhigram-2 University police station.
