An academic carnival was organised in the premises of Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurgaon, on 7 and 8 February. Called 'Learning Unbound- Chapter 2019-20', the event focussed on embracing diversity and highlighted the importance of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering,
Arts and
Mathematics) education.
The event witnessed participation of
students from Class III-Class V, who presented STEAM-based activities and models, working models, charts and posters that demonstrated the integration of subjects around the theme of environment and saving the planet. The event was conceptualized by the Learning and
Development Space under the leadership of Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development and Innovations), Blue
Bells Group of Schools. "The idea behind Learning
Unbound was to encourage students to appreciate and build their knowledge around the cultural diversity that we, as a nation, have to offer," she said.
The carnival also included events and activities organized by other departments and clubs of the school. The ICT-enabled Games and Robotics Arena was one of the highlights of the event. Robots designed by the school tech geniuses were the centre of attraction for all. The
Sports Pavilion focused on dynamic and static balancing as fundamental motor skills. The Health & Wellness Department screened two films as part of its programme to impart value education through cinema. The Home Science Department showcased its talent through a fine display of art and craft which included beautiful hand painted handkerchiefs, coasters and much more. The Astronomy Club created held a meteorite making
project, and rocket launching experiments among other things.
