Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 'Shikara' has been in news since the trailer of the film was unveiled. The movie has now received support from superstar Aamir Khan, who had collaborated with Vidhu Vinod Chopra in the movies '3 Idiots' and 'PK'.

Stating that it is 'a story that needs to be told', Aamir Khan tweeted that 'Shikara' is a film that talks about one of the most tragic events in India's recent history. The movie reportedly brings out the truth and secrets about how the lives of Kashmiri Pandits changed overnight.

Sharing the tweet, Aamir wrote, "Wishing you all the very best Vinod! Shikara is a film about one of the most tragic events in our recent history. A story that needs to be told."
