Ever since they united for 'Brahmastra', Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are inseparable. The two often support each other wherever they go, but did you know there was a time when the couple was going to have a Box Office clash?

'RRR' starring Alia Bhatt in a cameo appearance was going to release around the same time as Ranbir Kapoor's movie 'Shamshera'. While Ranbir's 'Shamshera' was going to release on July 31, 'RRR' was slated for July 30 release previously. The release date, as recently announced, is now January 8, 2021.

Revealing the same, a trade source told Deccan Chronicle, “The release date of the Ranbir Kapoor-Sanjay Dutt starrer 'Shamshera' was also announced long ago. The release of 'RRR', which also stars Alia Bhatt, was always being looked at from a south perspective and not a Bollywood one which is why the release date was on July 30 as opposed to 'Shamshera’s July 31.”

Pointing out how the new date is even lucky for 'RRR' co-actor Ajay Devgn, the source added, “But now 'RRR' has gone to the second week of January, which is again an interesting date. This year, Ajay Devgn’s film 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' released on the second Friday and went on to be a whopping hit. Ajay also features in 'RRR' and hence, it is a good date for Ajay fans as well.”

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were recently in the news since their wedding date has been revealed. On the other hand, Ajay Devgn's 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' has reached closer to Rs. 260 crore at the Box Office.
