The Parliament House is a historic building. All the laws of the Central Government are made here. You must have seen opposition parties arguing among themselves many times in Parliament. The Parliament House is 88 years old and is a unique piece of architecture. The Parliament House, built with unmatched architecture, was constructed for just Rs 83 lakh and in less than 6 years. It was built on 12 February 1921 by the Duke of Connaught.

If you have ever noticed, then you must have seen that fans in Parliament House are inverted. So the question must have come in your mind that why are these fans upside down? Today we are going to tell you about this.

These fans were inverted here from the beginning. They are fans of the old times. These are very old models, in which the rotor is facing downwards and the wind moves in a downward direction. These wings have not been replaced with modern wings to maintain the historicity of the Parliament House.

The Parliament House was designed by the famous architect Lutyens. The Sasanid Bhavana has wonderful pillars and circular verandahs which are a wonderful specimen of Portuguese architecture. Its design is such that due to which it was also called a circular house. The Parliament House, built in a circular shape, has a diameter of 170.69 meters. It has a circumference of 536.33 meters and is spread over about 6 acres (24281.16 square meters).
