Darul Uloom Deoband urged Shaheen Bagh protesters to withdraw their agitation against Citizenship Amendment Act. The attempt was made by the Saharanpur District Magistrate and SSP who asked in principal Darul Uloom Deoband to address the women who were staging a protest at Shaheen Bagh in the national capital for more than a month. A top cleric urged that the women should withdraw their protest after the government assured that the Center will not going to take citizenship of any Indian Muslim. He said people are also facing problems due to protest.
