Symphony soars after Q3 PAT jumps 38%

Symphony jumped 11.16% to Rs 1379.8 after consolidated net profit jumped 37.84% to Rs 51 crore in Q3 December 2019 as against Rs 37 crore reported in Q3 December 2018.

Net Sales for Q3 December 2019 stood at Rs 288 crore, rising 20% year-on-year (YoY). Profit before tax (PBT) for Q3 December 2019 stood at Rs 73 crore, up by 43.14% YoY. EBITDA jumped 40% YoY to Rs 79.08 crore in Q3 December 2019. EBITDA margin improved to 26% in Q3 December 2019 from 22% in Q3 December 2018. The result was announced during trading hours today.

Commenting on company's Q3 performance, Nrupesh Shah, Executive Director of Symphony said, "The company launched path-breaking models in residential and commercial segments. They are innovative in design, format and features. They have received overwhelming response. We have performed well in challenging environment due to strong pipeline of innovation, branding, depth and breadth of marketing network."

The company has also declared an interim dividend of Rs 2 and a special dividend of Rs 18 per equity share.
