Councillors meet zone A commissioner

Ludhiana: The councillors of areas under zone A conducted a meeting with zonal commissioner Navraj Brar on Thursday and highlighted the problems in their respective wards. Most of the councillors complained about choked sewerage lines, missing sewerage manhole covers and non-functional streetlights. Some councillors complained about poor management by officials, who do not even bother to receive phone calls for solving the complaints. Senior deputy mayor Sham Sunder Malhotra was also there in the meeting. The councillors also complained about lack of labourers. They requested the zonal commissioner for repairing the councillor room in zone A as there was no space for the councillors to sit. The zonal commissioner listened to the issues and assured that these would be redressed. He checked the condition of the councillor room and assured its early repair.
