According to Crime Branch CID, S Jayakumar of Chennai, who is also the prime suspect in the Group-IV Services scam, had a key role in the Group-IIA Services examination 2017 scam too.

While a team of members was searching for the middleman Jayakumar in the TNPSE gtoup 4 scam, he surrendered before the Madras High Court on Thursday. This comes after the CB-CID arrested three persons in connection with malpractice in the TNPSC group 2A examination held in 2017.
The answer scripts of about 42 candidates, who cleared Group-IIA Services examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) in 2017 were tampered with in moving vehicles. It is to be noted that all the 42 candidates are now placed in government jobs.
