Women and 2 children go missing in Islamgunj, cops book Delhi man

Ludhiana: A woman and her two children have gone missing in Islamgunj area and the family had lodged a complaint with the police that Rs 2.50 lakh in cash and some gold jewellery are also missing from the house.
Based on the complaint, division number 2 police have registered a case against Madhav of New Delhi under Section of 346 (wrongful confinement in secret) of IPC.
In his compliant, Balwinder Singh of Islamgunj, said his cousin Karamjit Singh of Kidwai Nagar, a jeweller married Amandeep Kaur in 2010. The couple has two children, aged 7 years and 4 years. He added that on January 28, Karamjit had gone to his store while his mother had gone to their relative’s place in Barnala. Amandeep and her two children were at home. When Karamjit returned home in evening, he could not find Amandeep at home.
Investigating officer, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Rajinder Singh, from police station division number 2, said, the police have registered a case on Tuesday against Delhi resident on the statement of family. The family said Amandeep was in touch with Madhav and has accused him of confining her and children. Further investigation is on.
