Day two: Two more die of cardiac arrest at Jatara

MEDARAM: Two devotees died on the second day of the tribal jatara at Medaram on Thursday, taking the total death toll to five. Both suffered a cardiac arrest, officials said.
According to witnesses, Narsaiah (65) complained of chest pain after taking a dip in the Jampanna Vagu. Before he could get help, the resident of Kambalapally village in Mahabubabad district passed away. Narsaiah was visiting Medaram along with his family. Another youth from Shivanagar, Warangal district, also suffered a cardiac arrest at the Jampanna Vagu. He was identified as 30-year-old Gunde Venu.
