Ludhiana: A 35-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances at his house in New Shivpuri’s Santokh Nagar on Tuesday night.
Police said Manjinder Singh was facing trial in four snatching cases.
Daresi police station SHO inspector Vijay Kumar said, “Manjinder’s family said after dinner on the first floor of their house, he was coming downstairs when he suddenly collapsed. They took him to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.”
Police found during preliminary investigation that Manjinder, father of three, was a drug addict. “The autopsy report will confirm whether he died of drug overdose. He has four snatching cases against him. He was lodged in Ludhiana Central Jail and came out on bail two months ago,” the inspector added.
“We will proceed further in the case after receiving the post-mortem report,” the SHO said.
