Friend’s suicide drives man to kill self

Rajkot: Not being able to bear the untimely death of his friend, a man also decided to take his own life in Bhadreshwer village of Mundra taluka in Kutch district on Wednesday.
According to police, Mahavirsinh Jadeja (32) hanged himself to death from the ceiling of the room of his house in Bhadreshwer village. Jadeja’s brother Kuldeepsinh told the cops that Jadeja had taken the drastic step as he was tired of unemployment and financial crisis.
Seven hours after Jadeja’s death, his friend Jaideepsinh Jadeja (30), also hanged himself to death from the ceiling of his house in the same village.
“Jaideepsinh, who participated in the funeral procession and last rites of Jadeja, committed suicide after coming home on Wednesday evening. Before taking the drastic step, he wrote on his WhatsApp status: ‘Miss you jigara (best friend). Hue aavu chhoon. Tension na le' (I am also coming to join you, don’t take tension),” said S A Gadhvi, sub-inspector with Mundra marine police station.
Two days ago, Jadeja and Jaideepsinh had made a Tik-Tok video with a song on friendship. “It seems that Jadeja’s demise was unbearable for Jaideepsinh that he too decided to end his life,” said Gadhvi.
