Share market update: OMCs trade in the green; IOC up 1%

The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.56 per cent up at 14323.34 .

NEW DELHI: The BSE Oil & Gas index was trading in the green in Thursday's morning session.

Shares of Indian Oil Corporation (up 1.44 per cent), Gujarat State Petronet (up 1.37 per cent), GAIL (India) (up 0.95 per cent), Indraprastha Gas (up 0.88 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 0.69 per cent), Petronet LNG (up 0.58 per cent), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (up 0.37 per cent), Castrol India (up 0.2 per cent) and Reliance Industries (up 0.01 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.56 per cent up at 14323.34 around 10:49 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 21.75 points at 12110.9 , while the BSE Sensex was up 52.76 points at 41195.42.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Asian Paints, Zee Ent., Motherson Sumi, Tata Motors, Adani Enterpr. and JSPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
