Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurates public affairs school at Xavier University of Bhubaneswar

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the School of Government and Public Affairs of the Xavier University of Bhubaneswar (XUB) here on Wednesday.
Congratulating the university authorities for the initiative, the chief minister said, "Policymaking and governance are crucial for sustainable growth and equitable development. In India, as we are maturing into a vibrant democratic set-up, people are expecting transformational, big-bang achievements. The policymakers must envision policy paradigms commensurate to the expectations of the people."
Talking of the the 5T programme launched by his government, Naveen said, "Odisha has become a model state in the country for good governance."
He added, "Keeping the objectives of an ambitious India and aspirational Odisha in view, my government has put in place a 5T initiative that aims to bring about transformation on all levels through teamwork, transparency and technology enablers in a time-bound manner."
The XUB's School of Government and Public Affairs will help create a new brand of policymakers and leaders, drawn from all sectors of society and trained to look at the issues from an inter-disciplinary and international perspective.
