CHANDIGARH: A 40-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her house in Sector 46 on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Saroj.
“Her son, who was studying in another room, raised the alarm on finding her mother hanging from the ceiling fan. He called up his father, who works as a storekeeper in Air Force,” said a cop.
On being informed, police reached the spot and took her to GMCH, where doctors declared her brought dead.
No suicide note was recovered from the spot, the cop added.
