Auto Expo 2020: Mahindra Reveals Its New mStallion Range Of Petrol Engines

The engines get turbo gasoline direct injection, TGDi engines which according to the company will deliver performance and will be fun to drive as well.

Mahindra showcased the its turbo petrol engine range at the Auto Expo 2020. The company calls it the mStallion range and there are a range of displacements on offer. There's a 1.2-litre, 1.5-litre and a 2-litre petrol engine on offer. All the engines are of course BS6 compliant and will make their way into cars like the KUV100 right up to the Mahindra XUV500.

The engines get turbo gasoline direct injection, TGDi engines which according to the company will deliver performance and will be fun to drive as well. Developed at the Mahindra Research Valley, the mStallion range of gasoline engines have been designed, engineered, developed and tested in India and globally to deliver on performance.

The company said that it has provided these engines with the overboost function to ensure that there is no lag when it comes to power delivery. In fact these engines will also be used by Ssangyong and even Ford Motor India on their respective cars.
