Crown Princess Mary of Denmark celebrated her birthday on the piste in Verbier with husband Crown Prince Frederik and pals - after dropping the children at school.
The mother-of-four, who turned 48 yesterday, glided down the slopes and queued for lifts with other skiers and snowboarders in the Swiss resort.
The royal couple and their friends took advantage of the sunny, crisp winter day and looked very relaxed as they made the most of the fresh powder.
Meanwhile the couple's children Prince Christian, 14, Princess Isabella, 12, Prince Vincent, nine, and Princess Josephine, also nine, were at Lemania-Verbier International School, which they have been attending for a month.

Princess Mary sported a relatively low-key ski outfit, donning a blue-grey jacket and black salopettes, but jazzed up her look with exotic floral goggles and a gold metallic helmet.
Yesterday the palace shared an age-defying portrait of the Tasmanian-born princess looking the epitome of elegance in a navy blue wrap dress by Issa London, aquamarine diamond drop earrings and an Orit Elhanati necklace.
The photograph was taken by Copenhagen-based photographer Daniel Stjerne and shared on the Danish Royal Family's Instagram page.
Last month Princess Mary and Prince Frederik came under fire after revealing they have made money from a private Swiss ski lodge they have secretly owned for 10 years.

The news caused consternation in their home country's parliament when Prince Frederik announced they would be spending their 12-week stay in Switzerland at their personal villa.
He went on to explain that they have owned the property in Verbier, one of the world's most exclusive ski resorts popular among the British royals, for a decade and rent it out when they're not using it.
When it was purchased, Princess Mary registered it under her maiden name, Mary Donaldson, The Daily Telegraph reported.
Her husband referred to himself as Prince Frederik of Denmark on documents pertaining to the property, the publication reported.

It later emerged the couple charged guests £7,290 a week to rent the luxurious wooden lodge which boasts three bathrooms, a sauna, spa and a heating room for guests to dry out their ski gear after a day on the slopes.
The Verbier property can sleep up to 10 people and was rented on Airbnb prior to the revelation it was owned by the royal couple.
Pictures advertising the property surfaced after a spokeswoman for the couple confirmed it would no longer be available to rent due to privacy concerns.
