New Zealand U19 vs Bangladesh U19 (NZ vs BAN) U19 World Cup 2020 Live Cricket Score Streaming Online: New Zealand and Bangladesh are locking horns in the second semi final match of ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup today at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom. New Zealand have scored 211/8 in their 50 overs, batting first. Bangladesh made early inroads with regular wickets, and New Zealand were struggling to get their innings going in the initial stages after being sent in to bat first. A 67-run partnership between Nicholas Lidstone and Beckham Wheeler-Greenall (75*) rescued the innings somewhat. Beckham Wheeler-Greenall carried on from there, guiding his team to a fighting total with a strong finish.

India sealed the final berth with a commanding ten-wicket win over Pakistan U19s in the first Super-League semi-final. They will now await to see who is their opponent on the night of the final. Will it be high-speed Bangladesh or will it be the ever-so tenacious Kiwis? We will find that out when both these sides lock horns in the second semi-final on Thursday.

BAN need 71 runs in 17 overs

2 runs come off that over. But New Zealand's failure to find the wicket of Mahmudul and frequency of wickets in general means that Bangladesh are heading into the final part of theis chase with the upper hand.

    19:49 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Beckham into the attack

Beckham, wjho was the hero for New Zealand with the bat in the first innings, is brought on the bowl for the first time. New Zealand need to find another breakthrough here. Mahmudul is threatening to take the game away from them. Could Beckham provide the inspiration New Zealand need with the ball in hand as well?

    19:48 (IST)06 Feb 2020
BAN need 73 runs off 18 overs

Mahmudul follows up the four in the previous over with another in the next one as well. He looks to take control of this chase now. That was his 7th four of the day and that sees him move into his 60s. BAN 139/3 after 32 overs

    19:43 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    50 for Mahmudul

Mahmudul gets to 50 and celebrates by smashing Joey Fild over his head for a four. Could the landmark give his innings some added impetus? Shahadat playing patiently at the other end, taking the singles whenever they present themselves. Bangladesh keep the runs coming. BAN 133/3 after 30.5 overs

    19:36 (IST)06 Feb 2020
91 runs needed in 21 overs

Joey Field is brought back ino the attack after a discussion within the New Zealand players. Mahmudul, nearing his 50, would be the man they would be targetting at this stage. Mahmudul and Shahadat content with finding runs in singles at the moment. They are at a better position than New Zealand were at this stage, but they do need to have wickets in hand. The first innings had a flourish at the end, powered by Beckham. BAN 121/3 after 29 overs

    19:27 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Mahmudul being circumspect

Mahmudul plays out another over from Aditya Ashok without offering too much. He moves into the 40s. Runs have dried up a bit after Hridoy's wicket. All to play for in the last 23 overs though. Bangladesh want to head into the last part of this match with wickets in hand. We could be building up for a thrilling finish. BAN 112/3 after 27 overs

    19:18 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    BAN 107/3 after 25 overs

A little more watchful approach by Mahmudul after Hridoy's wicket. Hridoy lost his wicket in coming down the track to the spinner. Adithya Ashok's turn did the trick there and the batsmen do not want to fall to his tricks again. BAN 107/3 after 25 overs

At the halfway stage, Bangladesh and New Zealand could stake equal claim to this match. Really depends on the partnerships Bangladesh can build from this stage onwards. Bangladesh need 105 runs in the next 25 overs, with 7 wickets in hand.

    19:12 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Wicket

Breakthrough! Stumped! Hridoy is out. Adithya Ashok gets the wicket for New Zealand. And what a much needed wicket. Could this spell a look in for New Zealand? This pair had added 68 runs between them, and in good time as well. Shahadat Hossain joins Mahmudul in the middle. BAN 101/3 after 22.3 overs

    19:07 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    100 up

100 comes up for Bangladesh in the 22nd over. It is Mahmudul's turn to free his arms a bit now. He moves into his 30s. Both batsmen looking in fine touch. BAN 100/2 after 22 overs

    19:00 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    BAN 90/2 after 20 overs

New Zealand are starting to ruin out of ideas to save their World Cup campaign from ending today. Hridoy has started to hit a few more shots now. He gets to 40. Mahmudul also batting patiently on 27 at the other end. BAN 90/2 after 20 overs

    18:55 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Bangladesh making it look easy

This partnership between Mahmudul and Hridoy is taking the game away from the Kiwis. This stand worth 48 runs already. And they have played together for less than 10 overs. A priceless partnership in the context of the match. BAN 80/2 after 18 overs

    18:40 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    BAN 61/2 after 15 overs

Mahmudul and Towhid are taking care to adapt their games to the change in the bowling attack and the changed fielding restrictions. The scoring rate has dipped a little in the last 3 overs. Both batsmen are on 17*. BAN 61/2 after 15 overs
Drinks are brought on. Bangladesh still have the upper hand in the match at this stage but New Zealand know things can change very quickly if they can get a few more breakthroughs.

    18:29 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    50 up

Bangladesh get to the 50 mark in the 12th over. The run rate they are maintaining has been stupendous. This could swing the other way completely if a few quick wickets come about though. Both Hridoy and Mahmudul into double digits now and the partnership is worth 19 off 25 balls. BAN 51/2 after 12 overs

    18:18 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    BAN 42/2 after 10 overs

End of the Powerplay overs. Bangladesh would be unhappy with the wickets they have lost but their scoring rate has been good. New Zealand had found the runs much harder to come by in the initial overs. Mahmudul and Hridoy are in the middle for the Bangladesh side and they are both looking to play steadily.

    18:11 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Wicket

Wicket and that's a big wicket. New Zealand are well into this game now. Emon is out. Caught behind. Hancock gets a breakthrough straightaway. Ball clipped his gloves on way to the keeper. Emon, after a good start, has to go for 14. Bangladesh need to put their heads down and build a partnership at this stage. BAN 35/2 after 8.4 overs

    18:08 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    BAN 31/1 after 8 overs

New Zealand are persisting with their frontline seamers. Bangladesh have reached 31/1 after 8 overs and the match seems to be evenly poised at the moment. Hancock, right arm seamer, is brought into the attack in the 9th over.

    17:58 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Wicket

Breakthrough for New Zealand! Tanzid is out.  The batsman gets a top edge and third man runs in to catch it. New Zealand have got an early wicket in their defence of a modest total. BANU19 24/1 after 6 overs

    17:51 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    BAN 23/0 after 5 overs

Another four to finish off the fourth over. This time it is Tanzid. Both openers have found the boundary with their shots at least once now. The current run rate is more than the required run rate. Bangladesh will be happy with how their openers have seen off the first few overs of the chase. Emon ends the fifth over with another boundary, this time pulled beautifully past square leg. BAN 23/0 after 5 overs

    17:43 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    First four

Emon hits the first boundary of the innings. Leans into a drive and times it with perfection. Bangladesh have got off to a good start in their chase of 212. BAN U19 13/0 after 3 overs

    17:41 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    BAN 8/0 after 2 overs

Kristian Clarke and Joey Field have opened the bowling attack for New Zealand. The Bangladesh innings gets off on a contrasting note to how the New Zealand innings got off. With runs coming in ones and twos. Good running between the wickets between the openers to start off proceedings.

    17:39 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Chase begins

Bangladesh U19 need 212 to win from 50 overs. Parvez Hossain Emon and Tanzid Hasan are at the crease. Joey Field will open the attack for New Zealand.

    16:59 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    NZU19 score 211/8 in 50 overs

19 runs come off the last over. Beckham goes into his final gear in the last over as Shoriful Islam, who bowled a tremendous openiong spell, is thrashed in the last over. Goes awry with his line as well. Beckham finishes with an unbeaten 75 off 83 balls - a priceless knock under the circumstances. Bangladesh, after having started off on a commanding note have conceded a bit of the advantage to New Zealand as the innings wore on. Can their batting show enough firepower to overhaul this score? They need 212 to win and play India in the final on Sunday.

    16:54 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Carnage

Four! Six! Beckham is going for it! 200 comes up for New Zealand. What a top class knock this has been from Beckham to take his team to a fighting total.

    16:51 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    All on Beckham

Beckham takes care to play all six balls of the 49th over and then take a single off the last ball to keep strike at the beginning of the last over of the innings. NZU19 192/8 after 49 overs

    16:47 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Wicket

Six. Four. Wicket. The 48th over has gotten off to an eventful start. Joey Field cannot deal with the length there and he hits it straight to the fielder. Shoriful Islam gets his third scalp of the day. New Zealand lose their 8th wicket. NZU19 187/8 after 48 overs

    16:43 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    NZ 174/7 after 47 overs

Bangladesh are looking to keep Beckham as much off the strike as possible. New man Joey Field, however, starts off the 48th over with a six! And then a four. This is the strong finish they were looking for. Big shots incoming! NZU19 184/7 after 47.2 overs

    16:36 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Wicket Number 7

Another wicket for the ever reliable Shoriful Islam. Clarke is out bowled for 7. Beckham loses another partner. Can the New Zealand tail give him enough company to take them close to 200? NZU19 168/7 after 46 overs

    16:31 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Chance

Beckham gets a reprieve. Mistimes a slog sweep but the ball lands between two fielders. That was a let off. How much will that let off hurt Bangladesh? NZU19 167/6 after 45 overs

    16:29 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    50 for Beckham

Beckham is living up to the responsibility of finishing this innings on a strong note. Gets to his fifty wioth a four, his second fifty of the World Cup. Gets two boundaries of the 44th over.

    16:24 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    First six of the day

Beckham on the money again! Scoops a six over fine leg. Beckham gets into his 40s. New Zealand inch closer to 150. That was the first overhit six of the day. New man Kristian Clarke then uses the pace off the ball to run it down for another 4. This was a good over for the Kiwis. NZU19 153/6 after 43 overs

    16:20 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Wicket Number 6

Quinn Sunde's stay at the crease ends up being a really short one. Hasan Murad gets the wicket. Bowls his man. Middle stump uprooted. Second wicket for Murad. Beckham loses another partner. He has been playing his shots. All on him to take New Zealand close to the 200-mark from here on. NZU19 142/6 after 42 overs

    16:14 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Wicket

Lidstone goes for 44. Big wicket! Lidstone, the highest scorer so far, could have made the Bangladesh team pay if he could have stayed on for a few more overs. Misses a full toss and gets out lbw. Shoriful Islam does the trick on reintroduction. Quinn Sunde joins Beckham in the middle. NZU19 142/5 after 41 overs

    16:12 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Obstructing the field?

A flashpoint in the match. Bangladesh go up in appeal after Beckham appears to push the ball with the bat before he made his ground. Not out is the signal and not out it remains after the decision is referred upstairs.

    16:08 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    NZ 139/4 after 40 overs

All set for the final 10 overs now. New Zealand are primed to go even beyond 200 at this stage. Lidstone, on 43, has got some good company in the form of Beckham Wheeler Greenall, who has raced to 35 off 54 balls. Shoriful Islam is brought back into the attack as Bangladesh look to get the upper hand once more. This partnership, worth 66 off 87 balls, has brought some fight in the match after Bangladesh looked to have lorder the initial stages.

    16:02 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    50 partnership

New Zealand are beginning to impose themselves on the match for the first time. Lidstone and Beckham Wheeler Greenall  complete a 50-run stand. The runs are coming in ones and twos but they are coming at a steady pace. NZU19 127/4 after 38 overs

    15:55 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    NZ 118/4 after 36 overs

New Zealand have got a good partnership going in the middle. Lidstone and Beckham Wheeler Greenall have now accounted for a 44-run partnership to get the batting innings back in some shape. Can these two make the most of the 14 overs that remain and get close to the 200-mark. We would have competetive match on our hands if they can get to 200.

    15:42 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    100 up

The New Zealand score gets into triple digits. Finally! 27 runs have come off the last 5 overs. Lidstone's 28 now the highest score of the innings. Beckham Wheeler Greenall is also looking to hit his shots whenever he can. NZU19 105/4 after 33 overs

    15:30 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    Consecutive fours

Beckham Wheeler-Greenall hits consecutive fours in the 29th over. 11 runs come off that over by Rakibul. The most producgtive over in the innings so far for New Zealand. Could this signal a change in the momentum? Bangladesh are forced to do something different as a result. They bring on the off break of Towhid Hridoy. That over passes quickly without much incident. NZ 92/4 after 30 overs

    15:19 (IST)06 Feb 2020
    4th wicket
