‘Ayodhya trust announcement has no link with Delhi polls’

BJP state chief Swatantra Dev Singh coming out of Kaal Bhairo temple on Thursday morning
Varanasi: Bharatiya Janata Party state chief Swatantra Dev Singh targeted the Opposition parties for questioning the timing of announcement of trust formation for constructing temple at Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya and said that the announcement has no connection with the Delhi elections.
During a brief chat with reporters here on Thursday, Singh said that PM Narendra Modi never waits for taking major decisions whether it is abrogation of article 370 or formation of a trust in view of the Supreme Court’s directive for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Targeting the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, Singh said that instead of taunting the government on law and order, the SP and the BSP should review themselves to find out why they failed to retain power in the state. he accused them of promoting goonda elements and discrimination on basis of caste and region.
Before leaving the city for Sonbhadra, Singh offered prayers at Kashi Vishwanath and Kaal Bhairo temples. He also met party workers and office bearers in the district.
