Bhubaneswar: Kanan Vihar residents want Mo Bus stoppage

BHUBANESWAR: Residents of Kanan Vihar Phase II have demanded a Mo Bus stop, and the construction of a modern bus shelter in their area. The residents have submitted a memorandum to Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, requesting her intervention in the matter.
"Public transport is lacking in our area," said Damodar Mohanty, a resident. "Kanan Vihar Phase II is a developed residential area and is steadily becoming a hub of real estate activities. The population is increasing and we need better facilities," said Sitakant Mohapatra, another resident.
A commerce and transport department official said they had received a letter from Aparajita and had forwarded the same to the housing and urban development department.
The Capital Region Urban Transport (Crut), which runs the Mo Bus service, has nearly five routes in localities near Kanan Vihar, but none of the routes touch the area.
