Vadodara: Waghodiya BJP MLA and Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation (GAIC) chairman Madhu Shrivastava is mired in yet another controversy.
This time around an audio clip of a conversation replete with expletives exchanged between him and a man belonging to Porbandar is making rounds on the social media.
In the audio, the conversation begins with the man named Raj Odedara expressing sympathy with Shrivastava over the MLA’s recent comments accusing government officials of not taking up his suggested works.
The conversation, however, soon turned ugly with Shrivastava hurling an abuse at Odedara. The caller too shot back with a deluge of abuses.
The exchange continues throughout the call with both Shrivastava and Odedara claiming in the conversation that they were in an inebriated condition. In the last part of the conversation, somebody else can also be heard abusing Odedara.
When contacted, Odedara admitted that he had called Shrivastava. “I have interest in politics. Shrivastava abused me first and hence I loss my cool too,” Odedara said. He added that he had not been called by Shrivastava or the police later. In the call, Shrivastava had threatened to take up the matter with the police.
Odedara added that on Thursday he had received a call from a person claiming to be a builder. “He told me that Shrivastava was not a bad person and helped poor people a lot,” he claimed. He added that he used to work for former state Congress president Arjun Modhwadia before 2012, but later parted ways and even canvassed against Modhwadia.
