MUMBAI: There was traffic congestion on Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) between SEEPZ and Jay Coach on Thursday morning after an ambulance turned turtle.
BEST buses, running along JVLR, were delayed and there was a long waiting period at the bus stops. There was also bunching of buses this morning, sourced said.
Huge trucks, cement mixers on LBS near Phoenix Market City in Kurla caused traffic snarls during morning peak traffic hours, said motorists. Traffic cops were on the road, regulating the flow of traffic in various areas.
BMC chief Praveen Pardeshi had recently mentioned in BMC budget the plan to improve public transport and increase speed of commute from 20kmph to 40kmph during peak hours.
