MUMBAI: The city's weather department forecast another spell of low temperatures in Mumbai between February 6 and 8.
K S Hosalikar, deputy director-general (western region), India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, "A small nip in temperatures is expected from February 6-8 in the state and Mumbai due to the northerly winds and their effect on wind direction. After that temperatures will begin to rise."

On Tuesday, the minimum temperatures in the city remained near normal at 20.2 C in Colaba and 18.5 C in Santacruz. IMD forecast maximum and minimum temperatures to be 31 C and 20 C respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the overall air quality index recorded in the city was 184, which is in the moderate category.
