JAIPUR: 10-year-old minor girl, raped mercilessly at a marriage garden in the city on Sunday night, will not be able to eat food for next few days.
Since the doctors have repaired her damaged private parts by conducting a major surgery, they have not allowed her to take food orally. The healing of the injuries on her private parts post-surgery will take some time.
The doctors have performed a one-time surgery for her better recovery. Normally, the doctors perform separate surgery for conducting colostomy (opening on abdomen to let the excreta pass through a tube), which allow the patient to eat food. But, in this case, they have not performed surgery for colostomy to avoid multiple surgeries.
“The girl is recovering well. We will not give her food for some days as she has undergone one-time surgery for repair of her damaged private parts,” said Dr Ashok Gupta, superintendent, JK Lon Hospital.
Besides, 10-year-old minor rape survivor of Churu, who was beaten up badly and was almost killed by the rapist, is undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Churu and is recovering.
“She is admitted to female surgical ward and she is recovering,” said an official of Churu government hospital.
