In the biggest news of on Wednesday, the government approached the Supreme Court challenging the Delhi High Court order dismissing the Centre's plea against the stay on the hanging of four Nirbhaya gangrape-murder convicts. 

As the anti-CAA protests in Shaheen Bagh continue since the enaction of the contentious law, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the government was ready to talk with the protestors provided that it was in a structured manner and not at the site of protest.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the setting up of a trust for the construction of the temple in Ayodhya. Subsequently, the government notified setting up of the trust with its registered office in Delhi's Greater Kailash Part -1.

After the Delhi Police 's revelation about the Shaheen Bagh shooter's alleged links to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) yesterday, the shooter's family denied the allegations, adding that none of the members of his family has links to AAP.
