Like most celebrities with an opinion, Sonam Kapoor has been on the receiving end of much trolling several times. This time around, the actress grabbed the attention of some Twitter users when she expressed her opinions on the open-firing incident in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh. A troll posted a photo of Sonam's father Anil Kapoor with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, and asked Sonam what her dad was doing with him. She had just the apt answer.
Sonam first shared a report about the Shaheen Bagh firing and wrote, "This is something that I never imagined would happen in India. Stop this divisive dangerous politics. It fuels HATE. If you believe yourself to be a Hindu then understand that the religion is about Karma and dharma and this is not either of those."

The troll replied to Sonam's tweet with, "Aap bahut prakharta se apni aawaaz uthati hai. Kripya desh ko bataengi ki aatanki Dawood ke saath aapke pita ki tasveer ka sambandh unke karm se hai ya dharm se? (You raise your voice fiercely. Can you please tell your father is related to Dawood by his actions or by his religion?)"
Replying to the troll, Sonam Kapoor commented, "Cricket se hain. Indian cricket se."

She went on to explain, "He went to a cricket match with Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor. And was in a box to see it. I think you need to stop pointing fingers and there are three that point back at you. I hope lord Ram can forgive you for being evil and spreading violence (sic)."

Earlier, the Veere Di Wedding actress was targeted online when she presented her point of view on the abrogation of Article 370. Trolls attacked the actress for her interview to BBC where she said that she can 'give an opinion' only when she has 'the complete information'. She said, "So for me now, I think it's better to keep quiet and let this pass, because this too should pass... and I think our countries were one country 70 years ago, and the fact that there is so much divisive politics at play is really heartbreaking."
