The Westport Elementary School Drama Club welcomes all to its production of Disney's “Frozen Jr.”
The musical is Thursday, Feb. 6 and Friday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m..
All performances are held at the Westport Junior Senior High School Auditorium at 19 Main Road in Westport. Tickets are available for purchase at the door and are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.
“Directors and music teachers Marlo Dennis and Elizabeth Carvalho are excited to showcase another group of talented drama, music and dance students in the Westport School system,” a press release states. “They wish to thank the Westport Education Foundation, the Westport Music Boosters and the Westport Cultural Council, a local agency, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, for all of their support of ‘Frozen Jr.’”
This show is the first to be performed by elementary school students in the area and is based on the phenomenally popular Disney film written by Jennifer Lee and directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee.
The show features beloved songs from the Disney film, such as “Let it Go” and “Do You Want to Build a Snowman,” written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
Disney's “Frozen Jr.” is presented through special arrangement with and all authorized materials are supplied by Music Theatre International.
