If you've been following the SUV segment lately, you undoubtedly know that GM has completely redesigned its full-size body-on-frame utility vehicles.
Now, We've already seen the Chevrolet Tahoe and suburban as well as the GMC equivalents, but now it is Cadillacs turn.
This right here is the 2021 Escalades bigger, bolder and better all around.
This land going luxury liner propels the brand's flagship model to new heights.
Sharing fundamental underpinnings with its blue collar siblings.
Much of What's New here probably won't surprise you, though there are a number of delightful features exclusive to escalate.
Now undoubtedly one of the This vehicles most significant upgrades will be totally invisible to most buyers but it's something they are going to notice every mile they drive at long last the escalate is getting an independent rear suspension.
Can somebody help me up?
I literally don't have the core strength to do it myself.
Yeah, based models feature coil springs all around with passive dampers, but you can upgrade to magnetic ride control.
Supposedly this is the fastest reacting suspension technology in the world and at 60 miles an hour, it can adjust for every inch of the road.
But if that's not enough, you can also pair this technology with an adjustable air ride system.
And while I'm at the front of the vehicle here, let's talk power trains.
Now, the standard engine should be very familiar.
It's a 6.2-liter small block V8 with all the bells and whistles you'd expect.
Should be good for 420 horse power.
460 pound feet of torque but very interestingly, GM is making its light duty diesel that new three liter Duramax.
In line six available in the new escalate and as in the pickup trucks, it shouldn't deliver 277 horses with 460 pounds of torque.
Either way you go you should get a 10 speed automatic transmission.
The 2021 Escalade interior is all new and it's way better than before with richer materials and loads of tech.
Not only that, it's also more comfortable and spacious.
Thanks to the new suspension.
There's more cargo room behind the third row seat, which can now comfortably accommodate adult passengers.
The second row has been improved as well.
At first glance, the 2021 Escalade's interior is super nice with loads of premium materials.
But this right here is the showstopper, a massive series of display screens.
Now, supposedly there are 38 inches of diagonal display, as well as twice the pixel density of a 4K television set.
Now this array is slightly curved and it's beautifully integrated into the dash board and it actually has three different displays.
To my left is about a 7.2 incher to the right is the main screen at about 16.9 and right between them is a reconfigurable instrument cluster that should measure About 14 inches.
Cadillac's ground breaking super cruise system is finally coming to the Escalade and it has been much improved and will even automatically change lanes now.
How does all that sound?
Yeah, I know but it's still probably not as good as the two available AKG audio systems.
Not the standard one has 19 speakers, but the fancier studio reference variant, as it's called, has a whopping 36 sounding meters, speakers mounted in the ceiling, headrests and even in the center console The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is slated to go on sale in the third quarter of the year.
Now, naturally pricing information has not been released at this time, but I have been told it will be very competitive, which means I don't think it's gonna cost too much more than the outgoing model, which starts at a little bit less than 80 grand.
