BIHARSHARIF: The
Sheikhpura police on Tuesday lodged an FIR against 235 people, including 35 women, for rioting, blocking roads, trying to set a shrine on fire and misbehaving with policemen on February 2.

Amit Vashisht alias Nand Kishore Kushwaha, who was killed on February 1, had blocked road for several hours near Patel Chowk in Sheikhpura the next day.
They also partially damaged a shrine near
Dallu Chowk and misbehaved with policemen. Kushwaha was killed in a clash between two groups during Saraswati idol
immersion procession at Sanayya village under the Ariyari police station area in the district.
SHO of Sheikhpura sadar police station Chandan Kumar said 200 men and 35 women were booked for rioting. He said the protesters had blocked road near Patel Chowk and set a shop on fire near sadar hospital, besides burning logs of wood near Dallu Chowk.
