Mercedes launched the first EQC concept in 2019, but delays have pushed production of the electric crossover from this year to 2021. With a combined output of 402 horsepower emanating from an 80-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack, the EQC offers plenty of power, and we have to assume, equally good range. But we won’t know for sure until the electric SUV goes on sale next year.

Just when you thought there was no more room in the lineup, Audi will shoehorn a smaller crossover beneath the Q2. Unsurprisingly, the company plans to call it the Q1 (based on the A1 pictured here). The new crossover should ride on the same platform as the European A1 Sportback, which means yet another vehicle using the versatile MQB platform family. No word on price or performance yet, though.

The upcoming BMW M3 and M4 coupe will debut in a few months. We've seen spy shots and leaked photos of the two cars already, both previewing a massive polarizing grille. The two cars should have a new 3.0-liter inline-six engine with somewhere in the market of 500 horsepower, a manual transmission, and for the first time, all-wheel drive.

Once called then iNext, the upcoming BMW iX5 should debut later this year before going on sale in 2021. The flagship, electric SUV will likely follow an extensive teasing campaign – kicked off by the Vision iNext concept from 2018 – before it hits the market. The range-topping, 120-kilowatt-hour version should offer as much as 435 miles of range.

Cadillac is already promising more-powerful versions of its CT4-V and CT5-V sedans. Fans, disappointed by the sports sedans with merely 320 horsepower and 335 horsepower, respectively, should be excited about the new Blackwing variants. The CT4-V Blackwing could have 450 hp on tap, while the CT5-V will have even more. Power will likely come from the old CTS-V's supercharged 6.2-liter V8 – but neither model will offer a manual transmission.

Rumors of a flagship Cadillac sedan aren't new, but the latest reports suggest the automaker will take its Escala concept from 2016 and finally give it the production treatment it deserves. Likely to share a platform with the CT6, the company will position the Escala as the premier Cadillac offering. Outside of that, unfortunately, there are no other details.

The all-new Cadillac Escalade will debut in a few weeks. The 2021 model should have a fresh exterior design, a brand-new interior featuring a massive 38-inch OLED display, as well as a bevy of engine options, ranging from 5.3-, 6.2-, or 6.6-liter displacements of GM's current V8. With the current model starting at around $75,000, don't be surprised to see the 2021 model exceed that figure and reach the $80,000 mark.

The Audi E-Tron GT debuted as a concept in 2019. The sleek electric sedan, meant to accent the available E-Tron crossover, promised 590 horsepower, all-wheel drive, and the ability to hit 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds. Though we haven't seen much movement on the E-Tron GT since its debut, a production version will likely show up later this year in anticipation of an on-sale date of 2021.

One of the most anticipated debuts of the year, the Ford Bronco, will show up this summer. Expected at the Detroit Auto Show (which now takes place in June), the 2021 Bronco should deliver on its promise of rugged athleticism, complete with features like an off-road suspension, boxy styling, and a few different engine options.

Ford debuted the Mustang Mach-E last year in Los Angeles. But only the Premium model will go on sale beginning this year; we'll have to wait until 2021 to see the hot GT model. The range-topping Mustang Mach-E GT will have up to 333 horsepower and a range of up to 250 miles when it goes on sale. Expect it sometime early in 2021, with a starting price of $60,500.

Every luxury automaker needs a halo car, and for Genesis, that could be the Essentia. The Essentia concept debuted at the 2018 New York Auto Show riding on an electric platform. But while it doesn't have the green light yet, Genesis CEO Manfred Fitzgerald has been pushing to get the car into production – so we could see it sooner than later.

The Genesis GV80 is the brand's first crossover. And it shows plenty of potential at launch. The SUV comes with either a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, good for 290 horsepower, or a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 producing 375 hp, as well as multiple standard safety features and optional all-wheel drive. Estimates suggest it will start at around $50,000 when it goes on sale later this year.

The Hyundai Tucson will get a full makeover in 2021. A larger grille and a more distinct fascia are part of the redesign plans to help the smaller SUV stand out, while we expect either a brand-new engine underhood, or a reworked (potentially hybridized) version of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder currently available. The new Tucson should show up sometime in 2020.

Infiniti is playing catchup when it comes to electrification, but that could change with the brand's first electric vehicle, coming soon. The car could show up as early as 2021. The automaker is looking at its Q Inspiration Concept revealed at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show for, uh, inspiration.

Jaguar's flagship XJ sedan is sticking around, at least for one more generation. The big four-door will use JLR's new MLA platform and battery powertrains exclusively. There will be both hybrid and fully electric versions of the XJ – the latter will come later down the line. We'll know all the details about the upcoming XJ when it debuts, likely sometime early this year.

Jeep pulled the cover off of its long-anticipated Gladiator two years ago in Los Angeles. But rumors of a performance-oriented Hercules model have already leaked. According to FCA design boss Mark Allen, a Hercules model is coming. When it does arrive, sometime in 2020, it will have to top the 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque offered by the standard Gladiator’s 3.6-liter Pentastar V6.

The new Kia Sorento is coming soon. Last week leaked photos previewed the new crossover with Seltos-inspired cues, particularly on the grille. Mercedes-Benz already confirmed a new SL is coming in a few years. However, what customers will get is still unknown. Rumors suggest there won’t be a hardtop version, and it won’t have a mighty V12. The pretty Polestar 1 coupe kicked off Volvo’s new electric brand in style. But now a more mainstream model, the Polestar 2 sedan, readies for its on-sale date in just a few months. The base Polestar 2 will cost $55,000 when new, but the first year Launch Edition models will ask $63,000 (before $7,500 federal tax credit). With a targeted range of 275 miles in the U.S. and a total output of 408 horsepower, the Polestar 2 should be competitive with current alternatives like the Tesla Model 3.

Subaru and Toyota have confirmed a new BRZ/86 sports car. The two companies will use a new shared platform as the vehicle’s base, with a new turbocharged 2.4-liter engine (likely from the Ascent crossover) producing up to 255 horsepower powering the two models. But we likely won’t see either of these cars until at least 2021.

The first of Volkswagen’s upcoming electric lineup to hit the U.S. will be the aptly named ID Crozz crossover. Previewed by the concept pictured here, the VW ID Crozz will have a starting price of around $45,000, offer up to 300 miles of range, and produce 302 horsepower. The ID Crozz will also spawn an electric ID Buzz – essentially a reborn bus – a year later.
