27-year-old youth arrested for murdering drunkard father in Tamil Nadu

MADURAI: The Anna Nagar police apprehended an autorickshaw driver for murdering his father after finding his troublesome behavior too much to handle.
The police nabbed K Vinoth, 27, for killing M Kallanai, 60, of Vinayagar Nagar 8th Street, Gomathipuram. He allegedly crushed his father to death with a boulder following a fight with him. An alcoholic, Kallanai beat up his wife regularly after getting drunk and was staying alone until a few weeks ago.
He came to live with his wife following intervention from relatives recently. Police said that a quarrel broke out between Kallanai and his wife on Monday night in which he not noly beat her, but removed her sari in public view.
Learning about the incident, Vinoth questioned his father’s action and began beating him up. In a fit of rage, he took a boulder and smashed his head, killing him on the spot.
