VMC’s CCTV pole knocked down by bus

Vadodara: A private bus knocked down a CCTV camera pole of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) in Nagarwada area on Tuesday . The operator has been asked to pay damages to the civic body. The incident took place on Tuesday evening when the bus operated by a city-based operator to ferry students as well as staffers of various companies was passing by the Nagarwada crossroads. The bus hit the CCTV pole and it fell on the road obstructing traffic. The bus driver panicked and left the spot with the bus. The bus was identified using CCTV footage and the operator was contacted. The operator agreed to pay VMC Rs 20,000 for the damage. tnn
