February has started on a special note for the Kapoor family. This weekend, Reema and Manoj Jain’s older son Armaan Jain kicked off his wedding celebrations with now-wife Anissa Malhotra in two vibrant pre-wedding festivities that were attended by the likes of Karisma Kapoor, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Tara Sutaria, Babita Kapoor and Akanksha Malhotra among others. It's safe to say that the #AnissaMaanGayi nuptials were full of exciting moments. Last evening, on February 3, 2020, the couple tied the knot in a ceremony held at The St Regis Mumbai, which was followed with a formal reception. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor lead Armaan Jain's baraat

Ahead of the wedding ceremony, Armaan Jain began his evening with a fun-filled baraat. Dressed in an ivory sherwani, the groom drove towards the wedding venue in a vintage car adorned with flowers. Joining him on his big day were cousins Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who were seen celebrating with full gusto. While Karisma chose a pretty pink Raw Mango sari for the occasion, Kareena went the cheerful route with a yellow Nikasha drape with a metallic blouse.

It wasn't long before Saif Ali Khan along with son Taimur Ali Khan joined in the festivities too, and were spotted shaking a leg at the baraat. Don't miss Taimur's little blue kurta!

The bride chose a sindoori red lehenga for the big day

Post the baraat, Armaan Jain made his way to the venue to greet Anissa Malhotra for the varmala ceremony. Dressed in a bright red lehenga with intricate gold embroidery, the bride-to-be was seen waiting for her groom surrounded by friends and family. She topped off her sindoori ensemble with statement-making jewellery encrusted with emeralds. One of the sweetest videos to emerge from the ritual shows the bride attempting to exchange the garland, while Jain playfully resists.

Among the first guests to arrive at Jain and Malhotra's wedding reception were the Ambanis. Nita Ambani walked in with daughter Isha Ambani, who was followed by Akash and Shloka Ambani. While Shloka opted for a lehenga from Sabyasachi’s latest summer 2020 collection, Isha chose the exact same blush pink Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga worn for cousin Arjun Kothari’s wedding back in November 2019, making a case for sustainability by re-using her couture.

Just like Isha, several other guests favoured pastel hues last night too. Actor Tara Sutaria picked a blush pink Anita Dongre lehenga, while Kiara Advani chose a lavender creation by couturier Manish Malhota, who was also spotted at the wedding. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was seen joining the celebrations with husband Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya, and was soon followed by Ananya Panday. What was common in their wedding looks? Both stars chose eye-catching white ensembles; Rai Bachchan picked a pristine Falguni Shane Peacock anarkali and Panday turned towards a shimmering ivory lehenga by Abhinav Mishra.
