AHMEDABAD: A 37-year-old woman from Sola area of city, the wife of a retired Army jawan, on Saturday filed a complaint with Naranpura police alleging that she and her daughter had been
molested by a 19-year-old man and his friend, a 17-year-old, after she objected to inappropriate demands made by them at her beauty parlour in Sola.
Later, the accused's two other friends, both aged 17, beat the woman, her daughter and her niece and ransacked her beauty parlour.
In her FIR with Naranpura police, the woman stated that the 19-year-old man identified as Ajju Goria and his friend had come to her beauty parlour and asked what services she offers. When she told them that she and her niece only provided head massage and facial scrubbing, the two began making obscene comments.
When the complainant objected, Goria and his friend became aggressive and began abusing them in front of her 16-year-old daughter. Then Goria tore her top and molested her. Later, Goria's friend, 17, pulled the complainant's daughter's T-shirt and molested her.
Meanwhile, two more friends of Goria rushed there. One began waving a knife. The four then beat the complainant, her daughter and her niece. They were rescued by locals but by then the four had also ransacked the complainant's beauty parlour. She called up police control room and a team of Naranpura police nabbed Goria and his minor friend, but the other two who had come later managed to flee.
Police registered a complaint of molestation, assault, criminal intimidation, criminal trespassing and abetment along with charges of Gujarat police act and began an investigation.
