Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has said a lot about NRC and NRP. The Shiv Sena leader has done a jolt to the Modi government by saying that the NRC i.e. National Citizen Register is not being implemented in Maharashtra.
He said that no one can be evicted from the country under the CAA. After this, Uddhav Thackeray even said that NRC will not be allowed to be implemented in Maharashtra, because it will make Hindus too difficult to prove their citizenship.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had said in an interview to party mouthpiece Saamana that he was not against the CAA but would oppose the NRC and NRP.
Significantly, demonstrations are being held all over the country regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act. Many states have even refused to implement it in their state.
