In an alarming incident, a massive fire broke out on Assam’s Burhi Dihing river in Dibrugarh due to an oil pipeline blast. The fire has not been doused as of yet. It is suspected that some miscreants set fire to the pipeline connected to the river, which carried oil from the Duliajan plant of Oil India limited. The blast and subsequent fire caused the crude oil to flow into the river. Huge flames have surrounded the area for the past 3 days. However the authorities have allegedly not done anything to douse the fire.
