TAUNTON - Bristol County Savings Bank, through its charitable foundation, awarded $64,500 to nine non-profit organizations in greater Fall River during a ceremony in December at the Holiday Inn in Taunton.
All total, the bank presented $353,600 in grants to 44 organizations in the Fall River region, the New Bedford/Dartmouth region, the Taunton/Attleboro region and the greater Pawtucket, Rhode Island region and surpassed $22 million in total charitable commitments given since the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation’s inception in 1996.
The organizations in the Fall River region that received grants from the foundation are as follows: Atlantis Charter School ($10,000); Bristol Community College Foundation ($3,000); Coaching4Change ($10,000); Community Connections, Inc. ($5,000); Fall River Boys & Girls Club ($10,000); Preservation Society of Fall River, Inc. ($6,500); Southeastern MA Ser-Jobs for Progress, Inc. ($7,500); Steppingstone Inc. ($5,000); and Yeah Corps ($7,500). Patrick J. Murray, Jr., President of the BCSCF and President & CEO of BCSB, awarded the grants to the organizations. Also participating were representatives from the BCSCF advisory board and the Bank’s area branches.
