Surat: Students from the Diamond City have come out with sparkling performance in the chartered accountancy foundation (CA-F) course,
results of which were announced on Monday.Among the top 50 in the country, 30 are from Surat. It is for the first time that so many students from the city have secured place among top 50. Many students have shared the same rank as per their marks across the country.
CA-F is the entry level exam to qualify for CA course and students who wish to do the course after class XII they have to clear the exam. Students mostly prepare for a year to appear in the exam and it was held in November 2019. According to the tutors from city, around 60% students out of nearly 1,500 who appeared in the exam have cleared this year.
“Comparatively, it is a good result in CA-F and for the first time so many students have secured place among top 50 in country. Total 27 of my students are among the top 50,” said Ravi Chhavchharia, a tutor.
CA-F format was introduced in 2018 and it replaced common proficiency test (CA-CPT). The first CA-F course exam was conducted in November 2018 and its results announced in February 2019 in which 15 from city were among top 50.
“Compared to the over CA-F result which is around 35%, Surat students’ performance is very good. A good number of students have cleared the exam from city,” said Adiya Jhavar, a tutor.
Apart from CA-F, many students from city secured place among top 50 in CA-intermediate course as well. “Surat has developed expertise in CA coaching and availability of coaching for all subjects under one roof helps students prepare well,” Chhavchharia added.
