BHAWANIPATNA: Maoists of CPM, Rayagada division, on Saturday have threatened to kill a contractor and supervisor for undertaking road works under Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
They have put up handwritten posters on trees and JCB machine at the construction site in Kalahandi's Ambaguda village under Bijepur police station limits. The posters state that the road from Trilochanpur to Phuldumer village and rural division (RD) road to Amthapadar village should not be more than 5 ft wide and should not be a pucca one.
SP (Kalahandi) Batulla Gangadhar said it may be the handiworks of some locals and the authenticity of the posters is yet to be verified. tnn
