In the Jamia Nagar area of the capital, the minors of Jewar (Greater Noida) who opened fire on protesters opposing the amended Citizenship Act (CAA) have no regrets. On Friday, during an interrogation of the police, he said that he had been watching videos related to the ongoing demonstration in Shaheen Bagh. According to police sources, the minor was strongly influenced by these videos. He wanted to teach the protesters a lesson.
In his statement, he said that through TV coverage, WhatsApp, Facebook, and other means, he was constantly watching the problems faced by people due to the closure of the path of Shaheen Bagh. He was angry after seeing this. So, He bought a pistol from a friend for ten thousand rupees and fired at the demonstration.
Fueled by statements of Sharajeel
The minor was told by the police that he was agitated by the anti-country statements of JNU research scholar Sharjeel Imam. He told the officers of the crime branch that he wanted to register his protest by firing in the air so that people get scared, but the bullet went straight from him. The crime branch presented it to the Juvenile Justice Board (JJ Board) at Delhi Gate on Thursday afternoon. He has been sent to a child improvement home for 28 days in custody. Police have demanded to set up a medical panel for the necessary bone ossification tests to verify his age.
Hurt by Chandan's death
The minor has stated in the interrogation that he was deeply hurt by Chandan's death during the tricolor visit on January 26, 2018, in Kasganj. A day before he had got a pistol from his friend for ten thousand rupees. He was depositing his pocket money for a long time. From that, he bought a Pistol.

The minor said that he was neither seduced nor asked by anyone to do so. The minor is describing himself as a patriot. He has also denied that he is associated with any organization. The minor, however, admits that he had fear inside the protesters. The minor did not tell his family and friends about coming to Delhi. Her father has a bakery job. His younger brother studies in eighth grade.

Shadab Farooq, a student injured in the Jamia Nagar firing incident, was discharged from AIIMS Trauma Center at 6 am on Friday.
