Nirmala Sitharaman was born on 18 August 1959 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, did her BA from Sitalakshmi Ramaswamy College and in 1980 she earned her MA degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, after which she pursued Indo-European Textile Trade subject under the GATT framework. But after his Ph.D., she worked as a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, after which she joined BBC World Service, not only that she has also been a member of the National Commission for Women.
It was while studying at Jawaharlal Nehru University that Nirmala met her husband Parakala Prabhakar, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, and the two met in friendship, turning them into marriage when Prabhakar did his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics During that time, Sitharaman worked as a salesgirl. After marriage, Nirmala Sitharaman and her husband Parakala Prabhakar went to London in connection with work but when the daughter was born they returned to India and settled in Hyderabad, let us tell you that Nirmala and Parakala have a daughter from the marriage.
She joined BJP in the year 2006 but in 2014 she became a part of Narendra Modi's ministry, slowly she achieved this position with her hard work.
