Uttar Pradesh: Youth held for derogatory post on religion

VARANASI: People of Muslim community blocked the road and staged a massive demonstration in Saiyyedraja market under the same police station in Chandauli district on Saturday demanding the arrest of a local youth Vikky Keshari for allegedly posting derogatory remarks on their religion.
The stir was called off after Saiyyedraja police lodged a case against Keshari under sections of IT Act and arrested him. SO Saiyyedraja Santosh Kumar Rai said that Keshari has been arrested and matter is being investigated.
Noticing some objectionble post on Kehari’s social media account, people of Muslim community reached Saiyyedraja police station and demanded action against him.
The police assured them and promised to initiate appropriate action. However, alleging delay in initiating action, they staged a massive demonstration.
