Hemant Soren said sports should be given prominence in day-to-day life.
Taking part in a function organized on the penultimate day of a week-long hockey workshop in the state capital in which 107 girls from scheduled caste and tribes across the state took part, CM said: "Such workshops need to be organized throughout the year.'
Soren expressed confidence that if proper training is given to the youth especially girls in the sports sector, they are bound to excel even in international events.
Hemant pointed that
sports policy should be framed keeping in mind how to provide more support to the sports persons.
Lauding the organizers, CM said such workshops should be organized round-the-year so that more fresh talent can get chance.
He said such workshops give the participants an opportunity to showcase their talent and also helps them to develop their personality.
CM said in future at such workshops, the girls should be made aware of
human trafficking that takes place in the state and minors from remote areas fall prey to this.
