Audi's new A6 and S6 arrives in SA

First seen at the 2019 Frankfurt motor show, Audi South Africa has announced its new A6 and S6 sedan are available in South Africa. 

The range will have three engines. Starting with a 2.0-litre TDI engine kicks off the range with 140kW and 400Nm badged 40 TDI followed by a 3.0-litre TDI with 183kW and 600Nm wearing the 45 TDI badge, and a top-of-the-range 2.9-litre TFSI engine that powers the S6 with 331kW and 600Nm.

On the transmission front, Audi has fitted the V6 diesel engines with an eight-speed tiptronic, the 40 TDI is coupled as standard with a seven-speed S tronic.

Furthermore the 45 TDI and the S6 is fitted with quattro all-wheel drive.

In terms of trim levels, Audi has made it easier to specify which features are added by including the 'comfort package' that has four-zone automatic air-conditioning; comfort key; operating buttons in black glass with haptic touch; front seat heating and storage.

A 'sport package' encompasses an S-line exterior package; contour ambient lighting; high-gloss styling package and sports suspension.

The A6 range comes standard with the five-year or 100 000km Audi Freeway plan.

Audi says the 45 TDI model is planned to be introduced into market by mid-year with the RS6 Avant planned to be launched in the second half of 2020.
