After the reconsidering of Meghalaya High Court's Chief Justice A K Mittal's transfer to Madras High Court, the Supreme Court collegium has decided to transfer A P Sahi.

A P Sahi was serving as the Chief Justice of Patna High Court. He will replace the acting Chief Justice of Madras HC Vineet Kothari.

This decision has come after the Chief Justice of Madras, V K Tahilramani resigned in protyest aginst her transfer to Meghalaya HC.
