FALL RIVER — National Grid reported that 1,241 residents in Fall River are affected by a reported power outage.

The outage, which began just before 10:30 p.m., affects customers in the northeastern part of the city, along parts of New Boston Road, President Avenue east of Robeson Street, north along Elsbree and Meridian streets, and south on Eastern Avenue to David Street.

National Grid has dispatched crews to determine the cause of the outage and make repairs, and have estimated power will be restored around 12:30 a.m.

Heavy wind and rains raked the area starting Wednesday night due to a "bomb cyclone" sweeping through the region.
