Edappadi K Palaniswami will be AIADMK chief ministerial candidate in 2021 election: KT Rajenthira Bhalaji

MADURAI: Edappadi K Palaniswami will be showcased as the AIADMK’s chief ministerial candidate in the 2021 elections, his ministerial colleague KT Rajenthira Bhalaji has said.
The minister for milk and dairy development told reporters at a campaign for the party’s Nanguneri byelection candidate, V Narayanan, at Meenavankulam village in the constituency that the CM has visited all districts extensively in the past three years. “AIADMK remains the people’s favourite party. There is no hostility towards ministers at any place and DMK president M K Stalin should understand this,” he said.
When asked about V K Sasikala, jailed in the disproportionate assets case who is set to be released early next year, Bhalaji said, “The chief minister and his deputy will take a call on her re-inclusion into the party fold and whatever their decision is, I will abide by it.”
On Tuesday, Sasikala’s nephew and AMMK general secretary T T V Dhinakaran told reporters in Madurai that there were no chances of them joining traitors. “Except for a few traitors, all the others will come back to our fold,” he said.
